My approach is calm and observant. I guide when needed, step back when not, and stay focused on the moments that matter most. Not perfection. Not performance. Just real connection, as it happens.

James is absolutely amazing. We hired him a little over a year ago for our wedding, which wasn’t in our hometown, so finding the right photographer felt especially important. From our engagement session in Roanoke to our wedding day, James made everything feel easy and comfortable.

To get to know us and help with our comfort level, we started with an engagement session and had a wonderful time. James knew when to guide us and when to let us take the lead — he never shut down our ideas and came prepared with plenty of his own.


On the wedding day, James truly went above and beyond. He helped the day run smoothly and put me (the bride) at ease when things went off course, actively helping get everything back on track. Our wedding day was rainy and moved indoors, but that didn’t stop him from capturing beautiful indoor and outdoor images. He even worked with our videographer to sneak in private moments for photos with my husband and me.


James’ artistic style will captivate you, and his personality will make you feel like you’ve been friends forever.
